My Schooling: Post Zero.

In somewhat of a throwback move, I’ve decided to explore the beginnings of my creative path. Since everybody is focused and fixated on the here and now (myself included), I have decided to revisit to a simpler time. A time before information overload and mental saturation. One or two points before we kick off though. I have opted to write (rather than film or narrate), because reading calms me and engages my brain. Also, I find writing more deliberate, so I’ll stick to this slower format. We can, after all, do with slowing down. I am not expecting this to be widely seen, but if one person is reading this: I appreciate it and I hope there’s something of use to be found here.
It’s been a rocky year or two for the creative industries and I’ve written several pieces which I have decided not to post for being too raw and more than that a little too self-pitying. Nobody needs that. Amid this ongoing work slump and financial uncertainty, the one comfort I do find myself warming to, is anything analogue, going back to basics and using my hands. So, I’ll do the same for this series and go back to the beginning and chronicle all the significant steps I took in learning to be an artist.
I promised myself I’d keep these posts brief, so let me not ramble and wrap this one up for now. The next one will be more informative, I promise.
